Kohala UTV Adventure

Located a short 40 minute drive north of the South Kohala resorts, Kohala UTV Adventure offers a unique and exclusive excursion deep in the historically rich and verdant lands of Kohala. Here you will explore Kohala Iloko, “Inner Kohala” where, in ancient times, geographic isolation, rich soil, and abundant water supported a proud and determined people a people destined to rule. As we travel from the sea to the mountains, you will have the rare opportunity to hear the stories of our land while you access lush private lands, murmuring streams, cascading waterfalls and other natural wonders kapu (forbidden) to all except guests of Kohala UTV Adventure.

Location: 55-517 Hawi Road, in the quaint plantation village of Hawi (pronounced ha-vee).

Daily UTV Tour Times: 8:30 am & 12:30 pm

Check In Time: 15 min. prior to UTV tour time.

UTV Tour Duration: Approx. 2-1/2 hours, from check-in to return

Must be able to walk over uneven ground and sit for at least one hour in an upright position. This UTV tour is not for those with back or neck problems, expectant mothers, or those fearful of nature, trees, learning, getting wet and/or muddy, or good fun.

All DRIVERS must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

Must be at least 5 years old

What to Bring & Wear:

You will get wet and muddy. Or dusty. Or not. Just depends on the weather. Wear clothing that can get wet, muddy, or dusty. Long pants are preferable, but shorts will work fine. Wear comfortable, water tolerant walking shoes or boots (absolutely NO slippers or flip flops) as there will be some walking, possibly in muddy, uneven terrain. Bring a towel and a change of clothing. A light jacket is highly recommended.

Gear Provided:

Head sock, helmet, goggles, gloves, rain poncho (for rainy days) & light snack (upon returning to headquarters)
